The KaVo MASTERtorque M8900 L is a high-speed air-driven dental handpiece delivering up to 31 watts of power (23 watts nominal) for approximately 20% more torque than previous-generation KaVo handpieces, with speeds up to 370,000-400,000 rpm. It features Direct Stop Technology (DST), which stops the bur in under one second to improve safety and reduce drawback of fluids and debris into the bearings, plus a push-button autochuck, 4-port spray, third-generation cellular optics, ceramic bearings, and a Plasmatec coating. The standard-head contra-angle design connects to MULTIflex LUX couplers and operates at a minimum drive air pressure of 38 psi (2.6 bar) with a quiet 57 dB(A) noise level.
