The 3-0 violet braided strand measures 27 inches (70 cm) and is pre-mounted to a 20 mm T14 taper point needle with a 1/2 circle geometry for smooth, low-trauma penetration in soft tissue approximation and ligation. It retains approximately 50% of its initial tensile strength at 14 days and 20% at 21 days, with essentially complete absorption between 50 and 90 days. Each sterile box contains 12 suture packets.
