Memosil 2 is a transparent A-silicone (vinyl polysiloxane) bite registration material from Kulzer that provides optical control when positioning aids such as x-ray measuring spheres, and allows light-curing of composites and fillings through the material. It is indicated for occlusal stamps for light-curing posterior composites, anterior stamps for provisionals, fillings and veneers, fixation of x-ray measuring spheres during implant planning, and transfer matrices for bracket constructions on plaster models. The regular-body material mixes automatically, flows well, sets in about 2 minutes, and remains dimensionally stable for accurate, distortion-free registrations. The complete kit contains two 50 mL cartridges and 12 mixing tips (reference 50035018).
