Buchanan System B Heat Pluggers are designed with a shape that closely matches the final root canal preparation, maximizing condensation forces on softened gutta-percha without placing undue stress on the root canal system. Used with the System B heat source, they maintain a precise temperature throughout the procedure so the gutta-percha is not over-softened, allowing the warm mass to fill lateral canals while sealing apically. When removed from heat, the pluggers cool almost instantly and separate easily from the condensed gutta-percha. Each pack contains five pluggers, one of each size: Medium-Large, Medium, Fine Medium, Fine, and Extra Fine, and they work with both the elements Obturation Unit and the Traditional System Unit B.
