The Kerr elements IC Obturation Dual System is a cordless endodontic obturation system that combines a Downpack heat source with a motorized Backfill extruder for the Continuous Wave warm vertical condensation technique. The Downpack handpiece provides rapid, precisely controlled heating of the heat plugger for single-motion downpack obturation of the apical portion of the canal, while the Backfill handpiece uses single-use gutta percha cartridges with adjustable temperature and extrusion speed for three-dimensional filling of the root canal system. Both handpieces charge inductively on the included base, delivering at least 16 canals per Backfill charge and a full charge in under three hours, with no cords or electrical connectors to impede the procedure.
