A. Titan Instruments Plain Gut Absorbable Suture is a monofilament, undyed absorbable suture supplied with a C-6 reverse cutting needle (3/8 circle, 19 mm) on a 27-inch strand in size 3-0. Plain gut retains its tensile strength for approximately 2-5 days and is completely absorbed in about 14 days, making it suitable for use beneath the top layer of tissue where no follow-up removal is needed. Each box contains 12 sterile sutures, and the smooth, polished stainless steel needle provides an easy-glide surface with minimal needle-to-material transition to reduce suture line bleed.
