KaVo Kerr Operative Carbide Pear-Ended burs are designed to prepare converging walls and produce undercuts and circular interior line angles, making them ideal for creating entry points and splitting the roots of smaller teeth. The tungsten carbide composition is sturdier than steel, allowing for cutting and chipping instead of grinding, which leaves a much smoother finish. Each bur features a 0.8 mm diameter, 1.6 mm long pear-shaped head with 6 flutes, welded to a 19 mm friction grip (FG) shank that fits high-speed handpieces, and is autoclavable for repeated use.
