Quala 5% Sodium Fluoride Varnish is a white, caramel-flavored varnish supplied in 0.5 ml unit doses, 50 per box. It is intended for the treatment of dental hypersensitivity and the reduction of post-operative sensitivity, and is also ideal for use as a cavity varnish. The smooth, thin formula dries to a natural tooth shade, sets rapidly in the presence of saliva, and remains on the tooth surface for up to 8 hours to optimize fluoride uptake while reducing the risk of fluoride ingestion; it also contains xylitol, which inhibits plaque formation.
