The Isolyser SMS 4000 is a self-contained sharps disposal system that collects, treats, and disposes of biohazardous sharps waste in dental and medical settings. The 5.8 liter (1.5 gallon) puncture-resistant container holds needles, blades, endo files, and empty carpules; when full, the included catalyst packs are added, causing the contents to heat and solidify into a stable plastic polymer that encapsulates the sharps and renders them non-biohazardous and safe for regular trash disposal.
