The American Eagle Explorer/Probe is a color-coded, double-ended diagnostic instrument combining a #23 Marquis explorer tip with a #12 Shepherd's Hook probe. It detects caries and calculus and measures periodontal pocket and gingival sulcus depth with black 3-6-9-12 mm markings. The 3/8" EagleLite resin handle provides improved grip and tactile sensitivity, and the instrument is autoclavable.
