Vista Apex CHX Restorative is a 2% chlorhexidine gluconate solution supplied in a single 16 oz (480 mL) sealed bottle. It is used for cleaning and disinfection of root canals and for irrigation and debridement during endodontic therapy, and can also be applied prior to restorative preparations of crowns and composites to aid with post-operative sensitivity and pulpitis. The formulation contains no surface modifiers, helps increase bond strength, and bonds to dentin for a long-lasting antimicrobial effect (substantivity); it compares to Ultradent Consepsis solution.
