The Crosstex ConFirm 24 In-Office Biological Monitoring System Starter Kit provides everything needed to verify steam sterilizer effectiveness in the dental or medical office, with final results in just 24 hours. Each kit contains 25 biological indicator vials using Bacillus stearothermophilus spores, a 24-volt incubator that holds up to 14 indicators, an ampoule crusher, a record keeper and a manual. To test, process a vial through a normal steam sterilization cycle, crush the ampoule, and incubate it alongside an unprocessed control vial; the media turns yellow if any spores survive, signaling a failed cycle. The indicators are compatible with most incubators, including the current 3M Attest incubator, but 24-hour vials cannot be processed in a ConFirm 10 incubator.
