Dentsply IRM Intermediate Restorative Material is a polymer-reinforced zinc oxide-eugenol (ZOE) temporary filling material designed for intermediate restorations intended to remain in place for up to one year, including emergency restorations, endodontic access closures between appointments, restorations in primary teeth, and caries management. The eugenol content provides sedative-like qualities on hypersensitive pulp and thermal insulation, while the polymer reinforcement delivers strength approaching zinc phosphate cement, high dimensional stability, low solubility, and excellent abrasion resistance. It may also be used as a base under non-resin restorative materials such as amalgam, metal inlays, and metal onlays. The complete package contains 38 g of ivory powder and 14 mL of liquid (item 610007).
