HeliPlug Absorbable Collagen Wound Dressing from Integra Miltex is made from purified bovine (Achilles) tendon and is designed for dental surgery, extractions, and biopsy sites. The soft, white, pliable, nonfriable collagen plugs are inherently hemostatic, helping to control bleeding, stabilize blood clots, and protect the wound site while promoting tissue in-growth. Each plug measures 3/8" diameter x 3/4"L (1cm x 2cm) and is individually packaged in sterile, easy-peel clamshell packaging; the dressing is typically reabsorbed by the body within 10 to 14 days after placement. Supplied 10 plugs per box.
