The indicator changes from non-visible to dark brown or black after steam sterilization at 250°-285°F (121°-141°C), with a minimum of 10 minutes at 250°F/121°C required for the color change. Each purple roll measures 60 yards (55 m), can be written on, and meets ISO 11140-1 standards.
