Hu-Friedy Perma Sharp Sutures are absorbable polyglycolic acid (PGA) braided sutures designed for efficient and reliable soft tissue closure in all types of dental procedures. These violet-dyed sutures feature a 5-0 gauge with a T-28 taper point needle in a 1/2 circle configuration and 27" length. The sutures are engineered with finer point geometry for smoother penetration, unique laser-drilled needles to minimize tissue disruption, and a proprietary stainless steel alloy construction for enhanced strength and reduced breakage. PGA loses strength in 14-17 days and is completely absorbed in 90-120 days.
