Pulpdent Paste is a premixed, radiopaque calcium hydroxide pulpal dressing containing 40% (±2%) calcium hydroxide in a viscous aqueous methylcellulose base with a pH greater than 12. It is indicated for direct pulp capping, pulpotomy, pulpal curettage, and as an antimicrobial intracanal dressing between office visits to disinfect root canals and prevent flare-ups. The non-setting paste is bactericidal and bacteriostatic, supports vital pulp therapy and apexification, and is easily identifiable on radiographs.
