Look Chromic Gut is an absorbable, sterile surgical suture made from purified collagen-based connective tissue (bovine serosal or ovine submucosal layers) that is chromic-treated for greater resistance to absorption. Each 4-0 suture is 18" (45 cm) long and armed with a C-17 precision reverse-cutting needle (12 mm, 3/8 circle) for smooth passage through tissue with minimal trauma. Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including ophthalmic procedures, but not for cardiovascular or neurological tissue; supplied 12 per box.
