Hemodent is a buffered aluminum chloride topical hemostatic solution used to rapidly control minor gingival bleeding during crown and inlay preparations, before impression taking, during restorative and cementation procedures, and after minor surgical procedures such as curettage, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, and deep scaling. The epinephrine-free formula avoids cardiac reaction concerns in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or hyperthyroidism, and the stable, non-staining buffered chemistry has a long shelf life. Each bottle contains 40 cc of solution, the largest format available (also offered in 10 cc and 20 cc sizes).
