Hemodent is a buffered aluminum chloride topical hemostatic solution from Premier Dental, formulated without epinephrine to rapidly control minor gingival bleeding. It is indicated for use during crown and inlay preparations before impression taking, restorative procedures, cementation of inlays and crowns, and minor surgical procedures such as curettage, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, and deep scaling. The epinephrine-free chemistry avoids the cardiovascular risks associated with epinephrine-containing hemostatic agents, making it suitable for medically complex patients, and the non-staining formula does not interfere with adhesive bonding. Each bottle contains 20 cc of solution.
