Look Chromic Gut Sutures are sterile, absorbable surgical sutures composed of purified collagen-based connective tissue derived from the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep intestines or the serosal layer of beef. Each 5-0 suture is 18" (45 cm) long and is supplied with a C-3 precision reverse-cutting needle (3/8 circle, 13 mm) for atraumatic passage through tissue. Chromic gut sutures are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including oral and periodontal surgery, and are resorbed in approximately 10 to 15 days.
