Each suture is 14 inches (35 cm) long, size 5-0, and is supplied with a T28 taper point needle (18 mm, 1/2 circle, round shaft, curved, no cutting edge) for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including oral and periodontal surgery. Chromic gut sutures offer a resorption rate of approximately 10 to 15 days and are packaged 12 per box (reference 590B).
