Look Chromic Gut Absorbable Sutures are sterile, absorbable surgical sutures composed of purified collagen-based connective tissue derived from the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep intestines or the serosal layer of beef. Each 4-0 suture is 27" (70 cm) long and swaged to a C-6 reverse cutting needle with a 3/8 circle curvature and 19 mm length, providing excellent knot security and minimal tissue trauma. Chromic gut sutures offer a resorption rate of approximately 10 to 15 days and are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including oral and periodontal surgery.
