Knit-Pak is a non-impregnated knitted gingival retraction cord made from 100% cotton, supplied as 100 inches (254 cm) of cord per bottle. Its interlocking knitted chains absorb and carry more hemostatic solution than twisted or braided cord, and the cord compacts under pressure to pack easily into the sulcus without fraying or popping out. The cap contains a stainless steel cutting blade that slices the cord cleanly, reducing cross-contamination and eliminating the need for sterilized scissors. Size 000 is color coded green and is intended for use with hemostatic agents such as Hemodent or Traxodent prior to impression taking.
