Knit-Pak is a non-impregnated knitted gingival retraction cord made from 100% cotton, supplied as 100 inches (254 cm) of cord per bottle. Its interlocking knitted chains absorb and carry more hemostatic solution than twisted or braided cord, making it ideal for use with Hemodent hemostatic agent or Traxodent for tissue displacement and hemostasis prior to impression taking. The cord compacts easily into the sulcus under pressure, resists fraying and popping out, and cuts cleanly if touched by a bur; size #2 is color-coded orange for quick identification.
